Deer-Resistant Trees for Privacy

Trees for screening and privacy that deer tend to leave alone. See mature height, growth rate, and hardiness zone.

Browsing the leading shoots sets a young tree back by more than a season, and on a tree that delay shows in the shape for years. These trees are the ones for screening. There are fast growers here if you need the screen up in a season or two. Most keep their leaves through winter, which holds the shape of the planting.

Nothing about a screen full of deer-resistant trees is plain. These trees flower in spring through to late autumn, so there is colour well into the cold. Most of the colour is white, yellow and purple.

The variety runs deeper than the type suggests: there are trees here for specimen planting and hedges. They run from small garden trees to large shade trees, so the scale of the planting is there to choose. Pinus and Ilex have the most entries.
